I wonder if trend continues ,so far everybody that choose someone else instead of UK has been a bust except Bennett / UNLV!Xavier Henry ,Shabass (sp) didn't go so great, which way will it go for Jr. Blackman?

The recruiting momentum has changed since Kansas got Wiggins, like a paradigm shift.

The recruiting momentum has changed since Kansas got Wiggins, like a paradigm shift. Yep, it sure has. The NIT certainly did not help, and I think Wilter leaving has given recruiters more ammo fir negative recruiting. I also wonder if Wilter leaving has hurt us with the Oakland Soldiers, could be affecting Johnson. Just rambling.

Well you know, most kids dream of making it to the Sweet Sixteen...

dadgumit! Looks like Hawkins really will get some PG reps next year. Lyles and Johnson are big now for us to get. Really wanted Blackmon, but oh well. That's the way the ball bounces.

Unfortunately it's not looking that good for Johnson. I think we've lost ground recently but don't know why other than my suspicion that the other teams are tearing up UK with negatives.

I too believe we are paying for our NIT year with this class. Our success this year won't really help next year's class. I hope we can break the cycle next year.

Well we certainly can't say it won't be entertaining to see how Cal recovers from this lol. We may see some new names popping up that we haven't seen before. Maybe some players decide to stay? Maybe we hit the JUCO or transfer ranks? All I know is that we are ranked #1 in the nation currently...and everything else can wait for a year.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about the 2014 class. It's not that we don't have 3 quality kids already in the fold, but with the amount that we will lose next year, it's a little scary right now. We really need Lee and Dakari back next year, no other way around it. I'm sure Cal is working hard though, just like always. I will enjoy this season to the max, but 2014 will still be in the back of my mind!

this class is mind baffling? They're certainly the most wishy-washy bunch I've seen in a long time. If you just listed the commits, decommits, etc. and not the sport I'd probably tell you it was a football recruiting class instead of a basketball one. Really just a bizarre bunch.

There will be enough returning players to compliment the class of '14; we will be ok. I know we're used to losing a lot of players every year and this coming year will be no different. We don't know who will return but the numbers and quality of player will suffice with the incoming class.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict Cal will leave after this season. Next season looks dismal, and he can leave UK while on top and on a high note.
