Lots of positive buzz for UK after the sighting at the UT game and some subsequent wearing of UK gear by relatives but nothing substantial other than "decision soon". Perusing the IU recruiting boards there's the usual trepidation concerning what inroads UK has made recently. There's also quite a bit of conversation on Keion's relatively light stature and what his impact might be at the collegiate level. I trust Cal has made the determination that he's tough enough to wear Blue......

IU lost last nite to Purdue.....gotta help to see how they played. He's still growing and has build to put some muscle on....but looks like he has the type of body that can play 'positionless' in the UK system.

Isaih Todd is listed as 195 pounds,at 6' 10" ---if he and Brooks, listed as 185 pounds, at 6'7",both become Cats, and Nick decides a jump to the G league is best, what will Cal do for front court muscle ? Even if Jaden McDaniel were to commit,he is also a finess guy E J wiould really need to muscle up over the summer, assuming he returns.

We need Nick to come back next year. Without him, we are going to have major front court issues next year when it comes to strength, bulk, being pushed around, etc.

With the announcement date set (3/15) the latest info has UK claiming 46% of the projections on 247; IU now sits at 31%. 247 has him rated the 23rd best prospect (ESPN has him at #38).

Just a couple more days before the scheduled announcement and things have been uber-quiet on the recruitment front. The 247 Crystal Ball still has UK firmly on top of the predictions (54%) including Evan Daniels stamp-of-approval but there's been absolutely nothing on the waiver wire to either confirm or deny. IU is still in the mix and their recent court success can't hurt them but ya' gotta believe the kids made up his mind at this juncture.

Geezzz--Great,well thought out posting---Not a doubt in my mind that somebody at IU or a fan of IU has already sent or will send your post straight to the Brooks family. Folks that accompanied me through the True Blue Ky saga with Maggard ,can say what they want about Marc Maggard, but you would have been long gone prior to this dumb ass post ,if this was his blog site.

First off.....do you honestly think there is a living human being that would choose a college based off of what I say? If you do your a moron. Secondly, I'm sorry that I just dont leap for joy for any old player that may commit. We missed on every single big man that can come right in and play for us reliably. Brooks wont even start lol. Wow, Maggard, there's some memories.... Yep, we haven't landed a top-5 player in a couple (few?) years; woe is us. Yes, we've whiffed on every big in this class (thank you Wiseman) and will probably be reliant on an improved Richards and/or bulked up E.J. for next year. That's assuming Richards doesn't just say F**k-it and take a pay check wherever he can find one after this season. Personally, I'm not overly enamored w/ Keion just because of his slight build but trust the staff know what they're getting. Will be happy if/when he becomes a Cat.

Getting Richards back is key just from a size perspective. Both he and EJ have not looked good all year even with increased playing time and really cant stay out of foul trouble so there needs to be major improvement with those two assuming and hoping Nick come back. Keion is fine but nothing that is going to be a make or break for this team next year, and quite frankly I dont think getting him or not getting him hurts or helps all that much. Im still hoping we either get a big that reclasses or potentially a transfer although I know that is less likely but you never know.

Frankly, I've been happy w/ E.J.'s effort. He is very good on the offensive glass. Not sure the staff isn't trying to force a square peg in a round hole on the offensive end. He seems to be more of a threat shooting mid-range jumpers rather than force the action closer to the bucket but this team needs that and he's giving what he's got.
Richards has a million-dollar body and a 10-cent game. Hope he finds his confidence.

Cal visited Brooks on Tuesday. We'll know his choice during half-time of Fridays game. Looks like we'll have three small-forwards on next years roster.

Well, I suspect at least one of them sees himself swinging up to the 2

They are all interchangeable. Assuming hagans goes pro, I see the starting backcourt being Quickley, Maxey and Whitney.
