What can you say? Honestly, I went to bed after UK's field goal put them up 27-14 and said "well that's 28-27 to wake up to" and abbracadabra there you go.
That great series of 4th down stops UK got against S.C. was the "yen" to the "yang" of 4th down gaffs against U.F.. Would Florida have scored anyhow on those drives? Who knows? Would the time taken off the clock even if they did score have made a difference? Again, who knows? As Philly was kicking a 61-yarder to win a game on Sunday I couldn't help to think of the game ender on Saturday (or hitting the upright earlier). Well, just mark it up to another effort in futility and hope it doesn't have significant carry-over.
If you're a UK fan you can take some (small) solace in watching the game and actually SEEING that the talent gap that used to exist between those two schools is now a thing of the past. UK played good football for most of the game and looked the part of the better team.
We still have to contend with the belief that a "down" year in Fla is equivalent to a "up" year in Kentucky; at least until proven otherwise.
