Depends on the personality of the person playing the game. Some will use it as motivation, some could dread the fact of being undefeated. What ever will be will be.

I personally wish people would drop the talk about it..It is not going to happen and I think it will just put pressure on these kids when that is the last thing they need. The way the media is these days, makes this even worse..The more they win,the more articles will come out as well as all of the UK haters...
I just wish the talk would stop.

I wont be surprised if we drop an early game to MSU, but after that I think its ours to lose, with close calls coming against UL and at UF.
That said, I would quickly put a $20 on us going 40-0 if I could get 400-1 online somewhere.

The year is 2033. Grandpa KatScratcher, alongside his two sons and seven ankle biters, tune in to ESPN7 to watch the promotion of the upcoming basketball season. The hour long special would deal solely with the 2013/14 Kentucky Wildcats, the only college team in mens basketball history to attain the afore unfathomable 40 win and undefeated season. The Wildcats during the regular season achieved an all time record in scoring margin, beating it's opponents by 31 points on average. The NCAA tournament was breezed through, with the UK squad beating Kansas in the finale by a score of 91 to 47. Kansas star Wiggins left the game before the half due to excessive crying. That season also marked the universal assurance that the head coach, John Calipari, would be inducted into the Hall of Fame, which eventually did occur in 2020. Still playing in the NBA at this time is Julius Randle who has announced his retirement at the end of this year. He is currently in third place all time in NBA scoring. Rupp Arena was changed to Shasta Arena in memorial to one of it's biggest fans, who was shot by a jealous husband at the age of 91.
EDITORS NOTE: This is a fictional account but all names, events, statistics, and drinks of choice are factual, kinda.

But that post actually made me laugh out loud. I think the "Shasta Arena" part was what really did it for me.

Pretty amazing story, Dave... I don't think 40-0 happens because we will slip up somewhere down the line. The most important thing to me is that we are playing great in March and go on to win #9. 9 is really ALL I care about!

Not a fan of the 40-0 talk. That said, is anyone going to Vegas anytime soon? Would love to get in on the 400-1 action...

One question about that story Dave. Is the jealous husband 91 or the biggest Shasta fan?
