Much ado about the "slump" UK is in regarding recruitment. Easy hunting to find articles on the Leader, ESPN, CBS Sports, etc. The general gist of all being that yes, UK/Calipari aren't recruiting (successfully) at the same level they were a few years ago regarding top-5 players and yes, UK is still reeling in 5* talent at an envious level. I believe that we as fans of UK are just so incredibly spoiled that all perspective has been lost. This isn't the days-of-Tubby when getting a 4* commitment is cause for celebration; nor is it the Billy Clyde era where we'd accept a commitment from anybody that could walk-and-chew-bubblegum.
Did the "Hardaway" factor bite UK this recruitment cycle - you bet.
Is Justice the recruiter Orlando was - doubtful.
Has the "UK message" gone stale with recruits (or their families) - perhaps.
Should we be concerned, or perhaps better phrased, should we be apathetic - absolutely not.
UK will continue to get (more than) their fair share of the cream-of-the-crop so long as Cal is at the helm. Assuming that Richards and Montgomery do go pro at the end of the year then yes, there will be an issue along the front line when next season tips. If so, it'll mean small-ball comes to Lexington and it'll be fun to watch. However, my guess is that UK will land a serviceable big and / or will retain at least one of the two aforementioned players and life will go on.
Relax, chill and enjoy the ride.

I agree about Wiseman..........but that does not explain the apparent rejection from all of the other bigs........Carey, Oscar, Stewart
If Justice can't do his job as expected....replace him What does Barbee contribute? not much that I have seen or read about Most can see the need for Orlando to return to UK......why can't Cal? What makes you think small ball would be fun? The product Cal has put on the floor the last couple of years has been anything but fun to watch. At times, it is painful to watch these supposedly highly rated recruits make grade school mistakes. Cal has not shown the ability or willingness to change his style to match his talent. Richards will not be the answer regardless of how many years he stays. He just disappears in big games, when he is needed most.
Honestly, I have been disappointed by Cal's coaching & lack of in game adjustments. He refuses to play zone & has no answer when opponents play zone against UK. Again, where are these high priced assistants & why can't or don't they contribute to these issues. Cal should have won the NCAA his 1st year with Cuz & Wall, but was badly outcoached by Huggins & the WVU zone. Cuz rarely touched the ball, yet everyone else threw up 30 3's that game. Again, nothing changed the entire game.
UK should have also won the NCAA with KAT's team. Again, lack of coaching after UK got the lead cost again. KAT was unstoppable that night, yet with the game on the line Cal allowed the Harrisons to dominate the ball, run the clock down to the final seconds & then turn the ball over with out a shot. Cal should have demanded that the ball go inside to KAT everytime down the floor.
Yes, things are better than when Tubby & BCG were here, but.............they could be better
