...that played in the Bahamas? I know they're out there somewhere, perhaps still on the beach? One thing for sure, they didn't come back to Lexington.
I guess the best team won on Friday night but can't say that with confidence. The foul line decided the game. I'd like to give the Salukis credit for being a good team considering they were experienced and finished 2nd in their Conference last year but trouble is - I watched the game.
Quade provided enough O to get us (barely) over the 70-point mark; otherwise it was hit-or-miss on the offensive end with a turn-over just as likely as a point. Herro and PJ were non-contributors. Travis was certainly not dominant and the PG play was very spotty (kindly put).
On D we had trouble limiting son-of-Pippin and were playing catch-up for most all of the 1st half. We did hold the opponents for long stretches without a point but had trouble capitalizing on the other end. We were also aided by them missing some open looks.
Hitting some shots will help this team a whole bunch but the energy we saw in August just isn't there in November.

The team from the Bahamas is gone. People can forget whatever that was. This team has tons of work to do. Its painful to even watch them. They cant run a fluid offense to get good shots and their defense is down right despicable. They look soft, lost, and have no killer instinct.

A big part of the problem is the opponents from the Bahamas are no longer around to beat up on in a glorified ballroom filled with UK fans.

I've seen Auburn beat Washington and LSU defeat Memphis. Assuming Tennessee is better than both, we're no better than the 4th best team in the SEC. In fact, I suspect Auburn is about 15 points better than us.
Overall impression: most of our roster is composed of guys looking/behaving like boys, and those teams look mostly like grown men.

With PJ, Reid, Green and Richards there is no excuse for the lack of productivity. All of those people have experience against top-tier competition and (should) know what it takes to compete. What is lacking is point-guard play at this juncture and I would submit that Green be used in that role until others acclimate. Green, Herro, Richards, Washington and Reid should be the starting 5 and work the others into the rotation.

PG play is one issue. Hagans cannot score at all. Green is small, doesnt play defense and cant get his own shot. Quickley will get better and is showing he is a freshman but I think is our best option.
PJ is playing terrible and looking soft.
Richards stinks and is softer yet.
Herro cant get his own shot and is forcing/missing threes.
I personally think EJ needs to start. He plays hard and can score.

well.....at least they looked better against North Dakota. Looked like a different team. Moved better and defended better...at least in the first half. Didn't get to see the second half

North Dakota was a team of unathletic white kids that stunk. That was nothing more then a waste of everyone's time.

I disagree, they won their division last season and were undefeated this season so far...UK SHOULD beat them by 40, but they were better competition that the last team where we still struggled a bit...
UK is improving.. I chalk a lot of it up to ego, they did well in the summer and thought they were a top team without having to put in a lot of effort...
I also give Reid a a free pass...yes he is experienced, but not in the UK system/style... he is still getting his legs...

I respectfully disagree completely with you. North Dakota was an absolute laughing stock. You saw what happens when we play a team of athletic players that can play and are top level competition. Not to mention, I see no improvement with this team at all.
