Is it just me or has UK looked less impressive in their two pre-season games than they did during the Bahama's Tour? I can't believe that Trany and a sub-set of IU are tougher competition than what we saw in August so what gives? Doesn't matter at this juncture anyhow.... let the fun begin.
I am saying the starters play to a tie and UK wins by virtue of a more productive bench. It'll be entertaining throughout but see UK coming home w/ a 81-75 win to get the party started.

Bad feeling about this game and I really hope I am wrong. This team has not played good defense and they do not handle the ball well. They will get better, but this game may be what they need for Cal to get their attention. Duke has guys that will drive the ball and not sure we can stop them. If we turn the ball over the way we did in IUP game, it may be a Duke Dunkfest. If we get hot from the 3 point line, it may help, but that could just cover up this teams defensive and ball handling woes. I just ain't seeing that 'dog' mentality that was touted earlier and that they showed in the Bahamas. Hope they get it back.

IMHO I hope that the Cats are playing to the level of competition so far and will be pumped for tonite. Tonight to me is more of a ' 'let's see what we look like now'' against one of the teams we could meet in April....and not much more than the FIRST game of the season. It's not a sprint to the end....more of a marathon and we've a long way to go to be the best version of what we can be.....tomorrow's just one of several measuring sticks as will be Kansas. Can't wait to see who shows up

All Ive heard for months is "dawg" this and "dawg" that and I dont see any dawgs. Richards and Herro play horrific defense. We have no rim protection at all and that scares me moving forward. I dont see even any effort on defense. I thought Keldon would be a terror defensively asking for the best player every day and causing fits and he looks very timid and passive as well. With that being said, defense usually comes later and I am hoping thats the case here. Im praying that we see a different team and different effort vs Duke. If we do we will have a chance. If we dont we will lose, its really that simple. I really had high hopes for this team and the 2 exhibitions have really tempered my expectations. We should have won those games in dominating fashion by 40 or 50 and thats concerning especially when those teams seemed to score easily on us.

Last I saw from Vegas was a "Pickem" game line. If true the Cats win with depth in the final minutes. Surely Hagans and Quickly will wear down Jones. Have to agree the Cats looked better in the Bahamas...Just hoping they have been playing down to the competition. I look for a biased referee crew----the usual, when you play the St K, employees. Course it's the usual every time the cats play anybody. I don't bet games but I'd lay 4 to 1 that Duke jumps 3 spots if they beat KY and the Cats drop 5 spots if they lose. Haters gonna hate !

Defense will be a huge problem........against Duke, Reddish & Barrett will be driving & UK will be fouling UK has no one that has shown the ability to stop dribble penetration. Richards is not a shot blocker, or a good rebounder UK will need a warrior effort from all....getting the loose balls & stopping 2nd shots Cal needs to pound the ball inside to who ever Williamson is guarding. Get him into foul trouble
