I know, I know starting doesn't matter in Cal-land but it matters to us (and I'm betting to those wearing the uniform on game day)! Less than 2-weeks until Duke becomes a 1-loss team so who do you think starts for the Cats? Here's mine:
PG = Quickley (a solid effort beats out Hagan's dynamic ability and Greens experience for the lead position). SG = Green (Experience beats out Herro's early productivity(but not for long)). C = Richards (hey he started when he wasn't productive, he's gotta start when he is - right?). SF = Johnson (Easily the safest choice in the group). PF = Washington (The "best" choice amongst a group of great options).
Herro, Reid and Montgomery will all probably get starts at some point through the season but this is the line-up I expect to see when UK and Duke tip-off.

Your starting lineup looks good but against Duke I'd go with the following:
PG-Quickley/Jones SG-Herro/Reddish SF-Johnson/Barrett F-Washington/Zion F-Travis/Bolden
I think that lineup would better defend DUKE and Reid will have a field day Bolden. KJ will bother Barrett and PJ somewhat has the athleticism to matchup with Zion.

While everything is subject to special circumstance, I've always expected Cal to try to keep either at least one of our two bigs [EJ or Nick] on the floor at all times as rim protectors; keep power [PJ or Reed] at the 4; and a balance of speed, experience and shooting at 1-3. He's made it clear that Reed will be used purely at the 4, so that would also seem to implicate that EJ's minutes will mostly come at the 5. If there are meaningful questions beyond that and as to how Cal's going to divide up PT, I'd think they mainly center on A) whether and to what extent PJ will take minutes from Herro in relieving KJ at the 3, as well, and B) how much PT Herro or Baker will get at the 2.

Green herro Johnson Washington and travis.
That's hands down the best 5. If herro doesn't start that is a travesty in itself. He is the best scorer we have and offers complete balance.

Well, I see the argument concerning Herro, but I'll be surprised if Cal decides to send both of our bigs to the bench, play without a true post, put Green at the point and have Quickly play the 2 with Hagans out front as a substitute backcourt. However, I'm not the one paid the big bucks to make such decisions. lol
