Christ - $100 a ticket per game? Really? Must be nice to do that kinda stuff.....
Anyway, the scrum that was Game #3 was the most impressive outing of the Bahamas-4. UK's athleticism and quickness was just too much for Serbian slow-boys. Love the way this team comes out of the gate; no complaints from the staff on teaching "effort" like some of our squads in recent years. Game itself was both ugly (foul-city) and sweet (100 pts). About the only question for Game #4 was how much gas was left in UK's tank. While there was marked improvement from game -1, to game-2 to game-3 the final game was more of a steady performance - and that's pretty good for your 4th game in 5 days.
Things we learned over the last 5 days:
Disappointments:
There weren't many and none that are lethal.

Things we learned over the last 5 days:
- This is going to be a tenacious team. Hagans and Johnson are real competitors that are going to be energizer bunnies all season long.
- Strength will be a strength: we've had some teams that just weren't physically mature. That's not going to be the case this year. Richards, Travis and Washington are each physically imposing and there aren't going to be many opponents that'll stack up (hear me Zion?).
- Shooting won't be the Achilles-Heel like last year. Even if Baker can't go, Herro and Green have perimeter games and others have enough to keep opponent honest.
- No one will play an open-court game against UK, no one. Get ready for a bunch of sagging defenses and opponents forcing UK hits the trey's; it's the only option UK's opponents will have.
- Chemistry does not seem to be an issue. After only 10 practices this squad played extremely well - and well TOGETHER.
Disappointments:
There weren't many and none that are lethal.
- No Baker and little of E.J.. Injuries kept them on the sideline (except E.J.'s stint in the opener). Question becomes, will we EVER see Baker?
- Reid Travis wasn't exactly what I expected. For what was painted as an unstoppable force around the rim he ate a whole lot of basketballs for dinner. Obviously he needs to get comfortable in his role and he'll rebound/defend at a very high level. I ain't worried a bit about him being a big contributor come the season.
- The Bahama power-grid. I want that missing 10-minutes of game-time back!
Gunna feel like a long time until October.....
