The level of disappointment I feel right now is unmeasurable. Our defense gave it their all, but offense left a lot to be desired.

While our defense only gave up 14 pts, the number of times our containment on their QB broke down was unbelievable. Even so, you're right about the offense tonight. We couldn't get into the EZ; second game in a row where a drop by Baker--this time in the end zone--was promptly followed by a turnover; and that score would have been huge for us. In it's absence, matters turned into trench war, with their D-line whipping our O-line & holding us to 3 FGs. Just not good enough to win at this level of competition.

So damned discouraging. But the team has to move forward. Time to move past "wanting it" and start earning it. We have to start finding a way to win, vs. finding ways to lose.

Doesn't seem like they tried everything. We have tight ends. Why not use them? Try everything. Change QBs. How about take a time out and not leave one in your pocket? Play calling was not good this game.

I am certainly not a great football mind but I was very frustrated by the offensive play calling. UF defense is too good to win consistently get away with 3rd and long and we were incredibly predictable on 1st and 2nd downs. I know it's a greater risk to throw on 1st but if we were gonna win that game we needed to take some risks. I don't know Barker looks like in practice and I still think Towles is a very solid QB who likely gives us the best chance for a bowl game this year. However, I am beginning to worry about his head when he continues to float balls high in pressure situations.
