never seen that kind of thing before. Actually you should never throw a ball into the opponents court, but he didn't have much choice. freak thing.

The kinda funny part to me was he went down and immediately shot a 3 for us, as if he was trying to make up for it.

Hey guys, I am just curious. How was the bucket dealt with in the box score. I know the bottom lines have to tally up and match the teams total points. Pretty much not an issue with it being an exhibition game but I would assume an asterisk would be in order somewhere in the box score.

I believe they handle it the same way they do when a player goes after a rebound and accidently tips it into the opponents basket, the opposing player closest to Young, will be awarded the basket.

the tv guys actually said that they had researched it and found out that they would put it down as a 'team basket.' they remained confused on how exactly that would work.

Pretty much not an issue with it being an exhibition game but I would assume an asterisk would be in order somewhere in the box score. It was in the box score as 2 "Team Points," and there was an asterisk that said "basket scored by member of opposing team." I was in attendance, and the crowd gave him a standing ovation. More excitement following that shot than there was the entire rest of the game. (Although there are lots of "oohs" and "aahs" after a lot of Randle's plays.) Pretty lame crowd overall, honestly; I couldn't believe how sparsely it was attended.

I was at the game also. I have to admit, I too stood and applauded his hustle.
I was also amazed at the empty seats, especially with all the requests for tickets that I have received for "any game" this year. What really amazed me was the large empty section in the rear of the eRUPPtion zone.

Students these days don't really seem to be into BB and FB like we were when I was there (a long time ago). I was in engineering, with really tough tests facing me constantly, but if it meant an "all-nighter" if I attended a game, so be it! I for certain wouldn't have missed one. I just don't get it the apathy the students seem to show these days towards sports. Are they playing video games, or what is occupying their time to fill the void? ?
