Just may have brought a tear to this Kentucky girl's eye. Don't get me wrong, I love almost everyone who comes to play for the Cats no matter where they're from. Some of my favorite players are necessarily Kentucky natives. But I'll probably always have a soft spot for those born and bred Kentucky guys who grew up dreaming they could play in Rupp getting a little bit of the spotlight.
Who's some of your favorite born and bred Kentucky Basketball players?

Deron Feldhaus and Rex are up there at the top for me with Darius a close second.

Being from Mason County, some of my favorite Kentucky kids were Ronnie Lyons, Deron Feldhaus, and Darius Miller.

Nice play! I really think Hawkins is gonna be a player here. Mine would have to be Miller. Took a lot of criticism early, but in his Junior/Senior season, he really stepped it up.

It's hard to pick one....but for me....Darius Miller.
What he endured during his 4 years....to have a monster senior year capped off with a ring.....well he'll always be one of my favorite UK / KY guys.

Rondo, Miller, Sparks, but Rex will probably be my choice cuz he's from my hometown and we attended the same high school. I had his aunt for English 10th grade, and she brought in a lot of cool stuff from time to time for us to look at. Also had a couple of friends who met him on the riverboat. He gave my one friend $1000 to gamble with cuz he heard it was his birthday. Needless to say my friends thought they died and went to heaven lol.

Deron Feldhous and my youngest son were in the same class at Mason County and he hung in when the going was tough so he is one of my favorites. Darius really came through for that last Championship Team too.

The ky kids that were part of the unforgettables, Richie the player, not the corrupt politician ! And his jersey should still hang in rafters because as a player he helped restore Ky basketball what he did as an adult had nothing to do with his time as a player! Miller is also very hard to argue against!
