Cannot wait to hear if KACAT has any quotes from Stoops on that horrible offsides call on the onside kick

The sportscasters didn't say much about Ky in first half ,but we forced them to start saying good things about Stoops

Next year , things will be different . Even though we are not winning we're playing better and with more fight than we have shown in a long time , I wanted Joker to do well and I wanted him to have a chance ,but he almost destroyed our program ! He is a good guy , but thank goodness we got Stoops!

With so many at QB and with Barker coming in next year as well- What can we expect? Would Barker come in from the get go or will we see Towles jump in the mix with Whitlow?

Something has to give..... Max is overthrowing receivers and, apparently, can't throw down field and Whitlow is hurt. If we had a QB that could put the ball where it needs to be, we'd be dangerous.....at least in the second half.

Really, can things be worse from the QB position than they are right now??

That was one that got away IMO. Playing the way we were (as much as the D pissed me off), we should have beaten those guys.

I don't understand bring Whitlow in on the second to last play to try and run the ball knowing that he's hurting. I understand Neal has his hands full calling plays this year especially with the inability to throw down field consistently. It just appears to me the majority of the time Whitlow is brought in for a situational play it's a run of some sort. Miss. St. defense saw it coming a mile away. I would have rather seen a quick shot to the end zone with them playing up than that tackle for a loss.
I am not trying to second guess the play call just wanting your thoughts on it?

Pretty frustrating watching the same ineffective plays being called time after time, but when the defense doesn't have to worry about the passing game, you're not going to fool them with very many running plays. I'm starting to have a greater appreciation for just how much of an advantage Mumme had when he first got here, with Couch and Yeast on offense. And I also respect the hell out of Stoops for not taking the easy way out by pulling off the redshirt of Towles or whoever.

I feel bad for Towles. I find it hard to believe he is behind Smith talent wise right now. I understand the staff wanting to save his redshirt, but I expect Barker will be the man either his first year or second at the latest. So then Towles may get one year, when he could have had a shot this year. I feel like there will be a lot of pressure to play Barker next year and I understand that. I know ideally people want to redshirt QB's but we need help now. And I don't buy that freshmen can't succeed because it happens more and more.

The thing that got me last night was at the end of the game when Max and the Cats were marching down the field and while we still had momentum they took Max out and put Whitlow in on 3rd Down. That was a momentum killer and I knew after he got nailed that we were not going to convert on 4th, because Max was taken out of the zone. I was like NOOOOOOOOOOO! So close.
I think at this point with the shaky play of Max and Whitlow hurting that you just let Towles play from here on out. We should beat Alabama St and that is the perfect game for Towles to get his feet wet and see how he can run things. This back and forth with Max and Whitlow is kray kray.

Really, can things be worse from the QB position than they are right now?? valid point. qb play has been tough to watch to say the least. an advantage for barker is that it is my understanding he is enrolling in jan, so he will have a semester and summer of strength and conditioning, spring practices and the summer to be with this team. so he won't actually be like a true freshman from that standpoint.

He has said he will enroll in the spring and participate in Spring practice. Given that, I think he has a legit shot to be QB1. I think Max's injury just hasn't allowed him to be the same
