Welcome back old school UK football fans! If that wasn't a blast-from-the-past I don't know what is. Good thing Kentucky has plenty of bourbon; time to open the reserves. UK had this one in the hip pocket before the fourth quarter implosion. I know that Sawyer had the fumble but he appeared to be an overall upgrade under center vs his sidelined predecessor; can't pin this one on him. If there is a bright spot on a dark football day it is that UK has a Quarterback for the remainder (hopefully) of the season.
Too bad the Chomps got the garbage score near the horn; makes the final score even more deceiving vs how the game was actually played. A few(?) losses were inevitable this campaign; the number of which will largely depend on how well the team responds when something like this occurs. Will a bad-end to a good-effort bleed over to an away game at Miss State and one-loss become two? State lost to an inferior foe on Saturday. Which Team comes out hungry and which one comes out depressed?
Stoops earns his salary this week....

Few thoughts...
1. I don't know what the fix is, but something's got to be done about the targeting rule. Corker was diving for the ball, and Carter was a text book tackle.
2. Florida holds more than teenagers at a Sadie Hawkins dance.
3. I hate, hate, hate that Stoops/White went conservative in the 4th. I know part of it was they were THIN in Secondary after Dotson went down, but I would think with a suspect O-Line and a backup QB, you blitz the shit out of him and rattle him. But, in full disclosure, I'm a "step on their necks til the final horn sounds" kind of guy.
4. UK had a good showing for the the recruits. Fans showed out. That's gonna pay dividends down the road for the 2020 Class.
