Today's non-McDaniels story is about Hardaway wanting to play UK. As the below article states, I very serious doubt Calipari is going to sign up for a home-and-home against anyone, but in this case, I wish he'd make an exception. It would be great fun to have UK put their armor on, go into Memphis and knock the dog-sh*t out of 'em on their home court. Would send a message to the recruits that chose otherwise and showcase Penny vs Cal on a coaches (rather than recruiters) level. Now I'm not saying that Cal is the best bench-coach I've ever seen but I would take him on this one. www.aseaofblue.com/2019/5/22/18635488/penny-hardaway-memphis-tigers-kentucky-wildcats-basketballYou can bet College-Game-Day would be on site for this one!

Why would you want UK to do what Memphis wants? Memphis is not in a power position here. Memphis isnt bothering UK recruiting even the least bit. If memphis wants to play us then sign a 2 year deal to come to Rupp and place us.....very simple.

Because: - Would like for all the recruits that were UK recruits ending up in Memphis (Wiseman) to get their just dues (yeah, petty, I know but still....).
- Would like to see all the haters in Memphis get really pissed at Cal one-more-time.
- Would like to show the next recruits that they'll get better while at UK more so than at Memphis.
- The media hype and associated exposure would be incredible.
- I have little doubt about the outcome......
.... and if you don't think that Memphis is "bothering UK recruiting" then you might want to read a newspaper (or the digital equivalent thereof).

I dont think they are bothering our recruiting at all. We have several 5 star recruits. Its not like they took all of our players and we were left taking 3 star players. They took James Wiseman from us who is a very overrated player in my opinion that Penny coached which is a very specific advantage that very rarely happens ever (id much rather have Nick and EJ coming back then Wiseman as a freshman) and we lost DJ Jeffries and replaced him with Whitney who is way better and higher ranked and regarded anyways. Your acting as if we go there and win 100% for sure. What of we lose? Why give them that leverage? We lost to Seton Hall for christ sake last year. Things happen and no game is a for sure win. If recruits cant see what UK can do for them......they are the ones that need to pickup the newspaper. Our results speak for themselves. Penny is new and has 0 track record.

Yeah...gotta agree on this. We have everything to lose and they have everything to gain. Hardaway's yakking about it because it's a big upside for them. For us, it's just another game.

As I said......if they wanna play us, Come to Rupp on a 2 year deal 2 times and play us. Thats how it works when your Kentucky. Memphis is a nobody. They arent an elite school that has the pull to ask for a home and home series. If not, then good luck playing the scrub teams in your conference.

With the SEC, Big 12 challenge, there have not been enough Big 12 teams, causing some SEC teams to be left out. I read sometime after the Final Four that the SEC added some teams from the AAC, to equal it out.My first thought was that that they would pair the Cats with Houston, but as it has unfolded, and assuming it's true I can see the Cats being forced to play Memphis, this year in the challenge, instead of the Gayhawks.
