Looking for a 4th small-forward are we? Perhaps he is a better shot than the other three; maybe Dontaie doesn't come back quickly from his injuries; maybe we can get one of them to stand on anothers shoulders and we have the Center we need? I'm sure there's some scenario where minutes at the "2" and "4" can be stolen by a natural "3"; and there's always the "positionless" card to be played. Still..... Glad to see any talented player want to represent UK but I just don't see the logic in this one.

lack of consistent shooting has haunted UK for years it probably cost UK a title in Cal's 1st year against WVU outside shooting & free throws cost the game against Kansas State in the NCAA outside shooting & free throws cost UK a final four this year against Auburn yes a big man like the VT transfer is very much needed, but so is a dependable scorer Hagans is a offensive liability because he can't shoot who knows how dependable Quickley & Maxey will be Allen probably won't be 100% due to his injuries Brooks is unproven Whitley isn't noted as a scorer Richards & EJ must improve greatly to be of help Where is the scoring coming from? Why question anyone that is supposed to be a good shooter

I live in Southern California and have seen Juzang play a couple of times. I never paid much attention to him since I always figured he'd stay out west and attend UCLA or USC. FWIW his brother is JR Guard at Harvard. Juzang is 2G. He is long and lanky. What he does best is just get to his spot and hit down shots. He's not going to wow you and isn't overly athletic, but he can definitely contribute at the next level. He plays some decent competition and should fit right in on next years team. While our other SFs will be slashing to the basket, Juzang can spot up outside and knock down the open 3. He's definitely a guy who I can see having a bigger impact as a soph or jr (if he stays). Really needs to fill out his body as the physicality of the SEC might bother him. But if you surround him with better players, he can thrive in that shot maker role. In a way, he fits next year's team much better than just an athletic freak like Hami. We need someone who will stretch the floor and open up driving lanes for Maxey, Whitney, Hagans, and Brooks. Don't expect Tyler Herro. More of a 2G version of Derrick Willis with more ball skills. Also, he seems to be a good kid from a great family. Still really surprised he's leaving the West Coast as its hard for most Southern California kids to want to leave here. But if he wants to represent Kentucky, he's good enough, so sign him up.

I think he arrived in Lexington yesterday evening. Not sure where he fits, but he should commit if he wants daily competition,to make him better. All signs are that he reclassified at Cals urging, and that would lead to thinking he is a Cat as long as the visit goes well. In Cal I trust...well ok maybe not when down 2 with less than 10 seconds with the ball in hand.

Thanks Max----Sure comes off as an impressive kid,on the video..... Have read hardly anything about him since his visit except the usual "the visit went great" I thought he would have commited by now,but now I am wondering if there was a silent verbal, and nothing else, enabling Cal to let Hampton, and his daddy, continue to string him along. Juzang reclassified a few days after talking to Calipari,so anybody would assume he is coming to UK---so why else the delay ? Ky is already too crowded for the Hamptons, even without Juzang, what with two PG's and a skilled combo already there. Hampton is going to Memphis to be the man...I thought Kansas for Hampton but I believe the Gayhawks are out, after the report on their program, and finally the NCAA investigation, that came out yesterday. Can't entirely eliminate Dook after Count K ran Boogie Ellis off to create more room at the guard spot.

So far, I don't think this looks much different than the pattern with Sestina. Mutual attraction, visit, go back home, then maybe an announcement. We'll know more if he schedules a visit somewhere else instead of an announcement in his HS gym. lol

Cal has been absolutely great at building Team Chemistry during his stint at UK. To do what he has done w/ a continually changing bunch'o youngins' is really impressive. The way this year's roster is playing out it may be Cal's biggest challenge yet w/ so many players of similar ilk, and that may get more complex if McDaniels opts for UK. Having talent, depth, and competition is a tremendous (potential) advantage; getting "stars" to accept "roles" for the good of the Team has been a Calipari strength - going to be calling upon that strength again this year. Congrats to the staff on pulling together this class!
