All I wanted before the year started was a team that scrapped til the final horn and to see young players emerge as key cogs on this team. Big checks marks to both. Love the young talent on this team. Blake McClain is going to be a great player, JoJo Kemp is special and you add Braylon Heard, Stanley Willams and Mikel Horton to our backfield and we've still got one of the best backfields in the SEC. I love Ray Sanders and Jon George but we won't miss a beat losing them and adding what we're adding. Our young WR's and playmakers in Timmons, Badet and Montgomery have done some really good things this year and will only get better. We'll also be adding some special talent to our WR corp next year and hopefully a QB(if not Barker then one of the RS guys that can get them the ball). Also pretty pumped about what our JUCO guys have been able to do. Z Smith, Willis and Blue have all been what they were billed to be and Willis and Blue got in here late. The future is definitely bright, we're getting a major talent infusion next year and we've finally got a staff full of coaches that know how to get the best out of their guys. GO BIG BLUE!!

I agree, the most important thing is the fight they've shown in every game. I'm still a little disappointed sometimes in the lack of technique, but it may still be a talent gap issue, especially in our secondary. Still, much improved over last year when we didn't even compete. If we take as big a leap next year, we have a good chance at getting enough wins to go bowling.

Its amazing though that we've even been decent pass defense wise considering our lack of depth in the secondary and lack of talent. Willis got here late which put him behind the eight ball, Tiller is small, Lowery is slow, Dixon has emerged and played a lot better even though he had that bad moment against USC that could have gotten us the ball back and a chance to win. But our pass defense hasn't been absolutely terrible considering like I said our lack of depth and talent. I think the JUCO Kid Pullium and Harmon being eligible hopefully next year will help right away. Even talk that Jaleel H. might be able to get a redshirt even though he played in some games because of injury so he'll provide some depth. Willis is the guy though. He's gonna be really good moving forward this year into next year. Need more speed at the safety positions and LB which I think we have coming. Just gonna take some time for young guys to get acclimated.
