Nick made it official today; he's a Cat for another season. Pretty much everybody agreed that Nick wasn't NBA ready but that hasn't kept others from making a bad decision and I'm sure there are other roads Nick could have chosen if he believed that College wasn't getting him where he wanted to be. UK now has a legit Center for the next campaign regardless of what E.J. decides to do or if anybody else ends up on the roster. We may end being thin depth-wise at the PF / C position(s) but we'll have quality. Great news for Kentucky (thanks NIck); now spend the rest of the Summer getting better. www.aseaofblue.com/2019/5/28/18308177/kentucky-basketball-nick-richards-uk-wildcats-2019-20-nba-draft

Great that E.J. is in Blue for another year! The guy has a great motor and a ton of up-side. Offensively, I think he had something of a Skal-like season last year. He has skill but I'm not all together sure that Cal used him on that end of the court in a way that best utilized that skill. Unlike Skal, E.J. had the ability to affect the game in other ways and he was a positive asset on the boards and off-ball defense. E.J. needs to eat a sandwich (or ten), get stronger and play hungry. If UK doesn't win the Blackshear lottery (probably not) then E.J. will get all the minutes he can handle while rotating between the 4-5 spots.
