With the recent announcements of Montgomery and Richards to "test the waters" it does leave open the remote possibility of truly UK needing help along the front line next season. The only true PF and/or Center that is guaranteed to be in uniform next season is grad transfer Sestina. One would believe that both E.J. and Nick are simply seeing what the NBA says they need to work on; neither has had on-the-court performances that indicate they would be attractive to the NBA as 1st (or maybe even 2nd) round prospects. Here's what Sports Illustrated has to say on the issue: www.si.com/college-basketball/2019/04/22/nba-draft-decisions-ncaa-return-kentucky-michigan-kansasMcDaniels is the only "big" that UK is still recruiting in the 2019 Class and all reports indicate that he isn't UK bound. There's different stories floating on the possibility of Virginia Tech Grad transfer Blackshear's involvement w/ UK. Some sites reporting that there's no interest on the recruits side while others have said UK has a real shot; there was an erroneous report of Cal having already had an in-home visit but supposedly that will eventually happen. There are still some big-bodies in the Transfer Portal but no Wilt Chamberlins. My two-cents says that Nick and E.J. will return and there'll be no other additions to the front-court for next year. However, I do acknowledge the possibility of UK really playing small-ball in 2019/20.

Even if EJ & Richards return, I hope Cal add the big transfer from VT & McDaniels Richards has not improved much in 2 years. EJ is so slight of build that he is better suited away from the basket, yet he hasn't been able to shoot very well at all I would also like to see Cal check on some of the shooting guards looking to transfer. When Hagans is on the floor, UK is at a 4 on 5 disadvantage due to his poor shooting
