The "good" news is they competed harder than they did against Mississippi State; the "bad" news is the end result was similar. The "worse" news is that Conrad had his season ended by a foot injury.
You have to face the fact that UK is just not competitive w/ the big-boys in the SEC. They have undoubtedly closed the talent gap but that translates to the opponent actually having to play to beat the dog-sh*t out of you instead of just coasting; and every once in a while you catch a break.
I am in no way bashing, a win against Louavull this week and this falls into the "helluva a good year" category and that's just my point. Can you imagine the statues that would be erected if UK put together a string of Butch Jones seasons? I like Stoops, I appreciate the job he has done and the trajectory of this program. If he can maintain the momentum I hope he is UK's coach for a very long time. My expectations are (I believe) realistic - they don't include many wins against the SEC elite.
Go Big Blue and make it a two-fer against the Cards.

Can't argue with that assessment. We are what we are, and hopefully can continue to improve. I'm disappointed in how this season has unfolded, but that is due to the improvements this staff has made to the program. In reality, I'm glad to still give a crap about UK football in late November.
