Right on djtackett2000. I agree 100%. I loved TBK and I paid for the info, but, I didn't care for Marc's ego! Respect has to go both ways in any situation for success. I look forward to the info and conversation on this site.

Here are my thoughts/feedback on several things (many of which are in comments already posted in this thread). Mine are mostly functionally related, rather than content driven. And yes, I understand that there's only so much you can control on a freely provided board. But you asked for feedback. - Agree on the use of language I've seen shared here. (Particularly French.) Would request that you not be too heavy handed about it, as we all sometimes slip, but in general there doesn't seem to be any need for all of us to fly off the handle with vulgarities. And I would expect that this fine community will likely help police that as well.
- Strongly agree with the "Respect your team" approach. Strongly. Mostly I vote for respect in general. In the end, these are people that we're all spending our time discussing, whether it's the players, the coaches, the referees or the administration. (NCAA personnel excluded, obviously.)
- In addition to the thread page links and "Next" button at the top left, I'd love to see them repeated at the bottom so I don't have to scroll back up to continue reading/participating in the conversation. (Hey, what can I say? I'm lazy.)
- Likewise, I really loved the "Latest Posts" feature at TBK, so I could quickly see any threads from any forum that had new postings. That was how I always interacted with the board, mostly because I'm interested in ALL the conversations. (Basketball, football, recruiting, general, other sports, TV shows, etc.) And it was really convenient to be able to click the "# New" link at the end of the thread title and be taken directly to the most recent post I hadn't read, without having to re-scroll through all the posts I've already read (or requiring me to remember where I left off).
- I'd LOVE to have some way to reinforce a post someone has made that I strongly agree with. On SBNation's boards (like A Sea of Blue) you can click the "Rec" button, and of course everyone knows the "Like" button on Facebook. TBK's was a little less directly attributable (the Legend Points), but it was at least still a way to "reward" someone for making a post you agreed with.
- I also like the commitment one of the moderators made not to take anyone's money and then not provide any information. I think that's an excellent idea.
- Good idea on a time limit for the creepy generic avatar. (Says the guy who still has the creepy generic avatar.) Maybe you could change the default to a picture of BCG...that would encourage everyone to make a conscious choice sooner rather than later.
- I wouldn't worry about needing to "advertise" the site...if it's as good as we hope it will be, word will spread and it will attract the kind of people who will want to participate in the same manner we do.
Glad to have this place, and optimistic about seeing all the people participating that I enjoyed interacting with (mostly reading) from TBK. Hope we can re-attract some of those who were positive influences but may have been sent packing for one reason or another.

Like a few others, I had been with MM since the UKUncensored days, then KYInk, and then TBK. It's seemed he was most connected during the BCG days. As of late, let me give those of you that miss him the type of information you're missing. We're going to get (insert name) but if we don't, it's because something changed last minute. If we do, stroke my ego and tell me how great I am. No other UK "insider" knows anything and if they get something right, they guessed. If you disagree with me, your an idiot and I'll block you, even though you paid. Also if you prove,me wrong, I'll deny it and post a picture of a scouting check I received in the late 90's. Figured that would help ease the transition for those of you that miss him. I really like what your doing here. Like others, I lurked instead of posting because I refused to let a man talk down to me the way he did to some others, and I knew my response would get me banned. I would like to see Jaiden, #3, Pheonix, and a few others. NJGreg talks to people a lot like MM did so I could do without unless he changes. Plus he's a UK basketball fan but doesn't support our football team at all which is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. Completely agree with what you just said on Greg. Not a fan of the guy because he roots for OSU in football(also is apparently an insider for OSU football or pretends tobe) and makes fun of our football program at times. He's one of those OSU gets anybody they want and UK football is lucky to get the leftover scraps kind of guys. Can't stand that. I'd actually like to see this board have more football discussion and be more about football than TBK was. But thats just me. I'm a big UK football guy.

I totally forgot about Phoenix but I'll see if I can contact him. Just sent Phoenix a DM. He's a couple of hours behind us - so hopefully, we'll see him on here soon.

[...] I agree totally with Trout on this one. I would hate to see this become another RR.

When there are more than one page of posts , the numbers should appear on bottom of the page . Makes the next page more accessible .

Definitely keep the "male" symbol (and I'm assuming there's a "female" symbol but haven't seen any yet) in people's profile on their posts because that kinda cracks me up.
Speaking of females and long lost former TBKers, whatever happened to Trish?

I don't know how we do it, but I think it would be neat if we had a UK cap with "Katscratches" on it so we can recognize fellow posters when we are attending games, events such as the Marshall County games, etc.

Soon the Flamers from places like DaVille, etc will descend on this site. Its only a matter of time, and I sincerely hope the board has in mind some method of dealing with that. If nothing else that was a huge reason,I enjoyed TBK

Don't know if it has been mentioned, but a BIG help would be not having the text entry field be the same color as the rest of the site. Can we go with white or at the very least a different shade of blue so we don't have to think about where to click ever time?
Other than that, I like the way it is set up, etc...
FWIW, I really liked Greg and he often had great info to share... just wanted to throw it out there, as I saw several people with a more negative view of him.

Yeah I don't like the way that field stays blue either. I also don't like the way links blend into the text. Haven't figured out how to fix that yet.

If nothing else that was a huge reason,I enjoyed TBK Loving all the ideas we've begun to discuss. I too would like to figure a way to keep the 'troublemakers' from polluting this site. The civilized debates without the vulgarity was a pleasant surprise. I agree the ''standard' avatars are creepy but we can all work on that. Liked the ''legend'' points as it was a way I could get a first impression on a thread commentator. I'm just glad that we've so many of the TBK family crossing over......let's keep looking for those who dropped by the wayside over the last couple of years and get them on board here.
